About Us

The Ninety Mile Beach Action Group against Carbon Storage was initially formed by the local community in January 2018. This was in response to community concerns to proposed Government Plans for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) offshore Golden Beach on the Ninety Mile Beach, Victoria.

Who are we:
A community run, not for profit group of volunteers sharing the same goal; to stop carbon storage off the Ninety Mile Beach.

Our Mission:
The Ninety Mile Beach Action Group Against Carbon Storage is advocating for improved community consultation, transparency and project accountability.

Our Vision:
The Ninety Mile Beach Action Group against Carbon Storage will empower the community by educating, sharing and informing on local projects.

Together, we can all explore the Carbon Capture and Storage concept, its viability and share our information with the world. That is our task.
